The Lighthouse Quartet

Beloved Hymns

These are the songs that make up the album, "Beloved Hymns." The webmaster's Uncle Marvin Kannegeiter was in a nursing home. So we put these songs on a CD and took it up for him to listen to. He is with the Lord now.

Feel free to listen and download the songs. Mix them and match them to make your own CDs. That's why they are here. All we ask is that you do not use our songs in your projects unless we have the right to affirm that we are walking in the same spiritual direction.

Cleanse Me

This song is done in a simple way with a guitar quartet instrumental verse.

Whiter Than Snow

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." - Isaiah 1:18

Must Jesus Bear the Cross Alone?

An old hymn with a tough message.

How Beautiful Heaven Must Be

"How beautiful Heaven must be, The home of the happy and free. A haven of rest for the weary, How beautiful Heaven must be!"

Blessed Redeemer

"Up Calvary's mountain, one blessed morn. Walked Christ my Saviour, weary and worn. Facing for sinners death on the cross. That He might save them from endless loss." - copyrighted

Where We'll Never Grow Old

"Never grow old, never grow old; In a land where we'll never grow old."

Someday it Won't Be Long

"Someday, I'll cross the mystic stream, It won't be long, it may be soon; Someday, I'll lay my burdens down, It won't be long, it may be soon."

Jesus Loves Me

The webmaster's six-year-old daughter, Danni, sang with us on this favorite children's hymn.

Haven of Rest

This was done using only the twelve-string guitar. We also used a sound effects program to make the sound of the surf.

God Leads Us Along

"Some through the water, some through the flood, some through the fire, but all through the blood!"

The Old Account was Settled Long Ago

We asked our friend Lary to come and play his guitar and sing the lead on this hymn.

Nearer My God to Thee

An acapella rendition of the beautiful hymn.
